Book a guided tour

For groups (up to 20 people) it is possible to visit the museum accompanied by one of our guides, for a fee. Schools can visit the dedicated section.

The guided tour lasts either 60 or 90 minutes and is designed for groups of up to 20 people. It offers an in-depth exploration of the museum, taking visitors through the prestigious Palazzo Wollemborg. The tour includes visits to three exhibition rooms dedicated to climate, exploration, and the metaphors of geography, as well as insights into the history of the collections and the evolution of geographical thought. A special guided tour can be arranged for groups with children upon request.

Individuals, groups, and families can explore the museum’s surroundings and the city of Padua using three original tools:

    An audio itinerary with 10 stops to discover the numerous geographies that characterize Via del Santo, the street where the museum is located.

    A booklet with fun, creative, and engaging missions to be carried out as a family, independently, in three iconic places in the city of Padua: the central squares, Prato della Valle, and the Basilica of Saint Anthony. WHERE WE ARE

The Museum of Geography is in the historic centre of Padua, in Via del Santo, 26. Positioned along a limited-traffic street it is easily reachable on foot and by public transport.

HOW TO REACH US

On foot

The museum is located near the intersection between Via San Francesco and Via del Santo. It can be easily reached on foot from the central squares (5 min), from the Basilica of Saint Anthony (10 min), from Prato della Valle (15 min), and the bus and train stations (20-25 min).

Bus & tram

The closest public transport stops (bus and tram) to the museum are “Ponti Romani” and “Riviera Tito Livio”.

If arriving by private bus, below are the most convenient points to disembark, with the respective walking distance to the museum.

Train

Numerous trains connect Padua with all the main Italian cities. The railway station is about 20 minutes ON FOOT from the museum. From the station it is also possible to take a TAXI, the TRAM or LINE BUSES.

By car

The museum is in a limited traffic zone (ZTL) inaccessible to private cars and buses. It is possible to be dropped off by taxi if necessary.

However, the museum can be reached on foot after parking your car outside the ZTL. The most convenient parking areas for the museum are:
